Inputs and outputs

nuggetsoflearning • October 15, 2012

What are you going to put in as effort this week?

It is not what you do but the way that you do it?

Leadership development is how we do things not necessarily what we do, although output will help measure the input.

Inputs typically include:

  • Effort
  • Loyalty
  • Hard Work
  • Commitment
  • Skill
  • Ability
  • Adaptability
  • Flexibility
  • Tolerance
  • Determination
  • Enthusiasm
  • Trust in superiors
  • Support of colleagues
  • Personal sacrifice

Outputs typically include:

  • Organisational objectives
  • Goals
  • Tasks
  • Financial rewards (such as salary, benefits, perks)

The list of inputs is far longer – focus on the inputs this week.
