Programme Outline

SDI

Strength Deployment Inventory ("SDI")

SDI - Enabling positive, enjoyable relationships through personal development, effective communication and conflict management

Based on the theory of Relationship Awareness, Elias Porter has created a questionnaire which discovers your motivational value system.

Key Learning Points from the workshop:

  • There are benefits to both business and individuals when working with the SDI®
  • It is an effective approach to working with communications
  • You will learn how to avoid the misunderstandings that create conflict
  • Understand how motivational values affect and drive your behaviour

The Dynamic Triangle

There are 7 motivational value systems which can be plotted onto a triangle.

The Motivational Value System ("MVS") is:

  • The basis for which a person seeks to be valued, by self, others and in all life situations

Each of the 7 motivational value systems will be explained and each one will have the following discussed:

  • Strengths
  • Blind spots
  • Overdone strengths

Conflict

Understanding your own sequence allows you to:

  • Manage your own sequence more effectively
  • Recognise the signs early in others
  • Move away from our own preferred style to another which could be more effective

Review

  • What does this mean? - practical steps to make the theory come to life.
  • How can the strengths of the motivational value system be harnessed?
  • Recognising when conflict is occurring and knowing how to manage the inner dialogue.
